Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Materials and Logistics Analyst for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

ROLE

To support the delivery of the business unit's materials and logistics strategy for all North Sea assets / To develop a robust reporting mechanism for logistics activity to work with all stakeholders in constantly challenging and improving the logistics and materials delivery in all aspects including HSE, cost and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop and manage the use of performance scorecards for logistics delivery across all production assets
  • Responsible for reporting on performance management across all areas of logistics, using agreed KPIs, non-conformities, and relevant asset reports
  • Assist in the management of primary logistics contractors (aviation, marine and supply base) in terms of delivery, HSE, cost management, integration with operations, innovation and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the developing suite of materials and logistics process and procedures, embed their use across the business and manage the continuous improvement process to ensure they remain up to date and accurate
  • Deputise for the Materials and Logistics Team Lead as required

Major Challenges

  • Engaging and influencing stakeholders in all matters materials and logistics
  • Educate the Business Unit and all stakeholders in the opportunities presented by effective logistics and materials management;
  • Fostering collaboration amongst BU assets in utilisation of logistics assets;
  • Anticipating issues that might affect efficient operations and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Identifying and overcoming impediments to an optimum logistics solution

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant Materials and Logistics qualifications desirable, e.g. CILT Ideally a member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport and/or other appropriate professional body.
  • Background in materials and logistics coordination within an operating or service based industry (preferably an Oil and Gas Operator or major service Contractor) preferred
  • Experience with working with diverse groups of stakeholders and managing relevant communication

Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations):

  • Appropriate knowledge of the UKCS Oil & Gas sector, and custom and practice in logistics matters
  • Fully conversant in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and preferably MAXIMO
