Job Summary

Group Accountant - Valor is currently recruiting a Group Accountant to support the groups’ progressive expansion and acquisition strategy. Based in Aberdeen, Valor is a group of companies that aims to realise growth by adding further complimentary acquisitions to the current portfolio of businesses. 

 

The Group Accountant will join a successful team who work in tandem with the Chief Executive Officer in order of achieving the desired end goal. This individual will be directly involved in key decision-making processes, and play a vital role in the continued success of the business. Having previously managed mergers, acquisitions and company expansion within a similar group of companies, the successful individual will be responsible for implementing robust systems and control methods adhering to all financial activity within the business. Some of the duties will include, however are not limited to:

 

·       Take ownership of all budget creation and financial reporting

·       Offer financial guidance and leadership where required

·       Drive group’s strategic financial process and group budget

·       Monitor and drive financial progress of the business through timely and relevant financial reporting

·       Support commercial and leadership actions

·       Review and advise on potential acquisition 3-year accounts

·       Review and advise on potential acquisition 5-year projections

·       Offer guidance towards maximising financial gains and reducing costs

·       Monitor and drive financial progress of the business through timely and relevant financial reporting

·       Manage liquidity and cash flow maximisation

·       Issue financial analysis to validate individual business strategies and business plans

·       Assist with driving profitable growth throughout the group and associated companies

 

It would be desirable for applicants to have a demonstrable track record of success in a similar role, however having a commercial mindset, excellent financial skills and previous experience and desire to assist in the successful growth of the business, would be a minimum. Applicants must be fully qualified, holding relevant accounting qualifications, and be verified to work in the UK. An entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with experience of acquisition based financial transactions would prove advantageous for those applying.
