Provide proactive commercial and contract management services to proponent groups, ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with corporate standards whilst meeting all regional requirements
Proactively manage assigned commercial contracts to ensure that our client is receiving the best value from its external supply relationships.
Develop strong working relationships with proponent groups, and assigned supplier representatives.
Contribute to the development and execution of the contracting strategy, in support of all contracting activities
Provide advice and support to all levels of Company personnel on matters relating to contracts planning, strategy and performance management.
Undertake all formal contracting activities relating to onshore/offshore service/work contracts including, assessment of internal and external demand, developing strategies, pre-qualifications and tender list development. Issue of ITT, analysis of tenders, contract negotiations, preparation of contractual documentation and contract management plans.
Provide comprehensive advice on commercial and business risk
Manage a varied portfolio of contracts with different contractual issues and priorities
Undertake post-award contract administration including drafting and processing of amendments, variations and obtaining internal approvals. Contribute to the process of continuous improvement in the contracting process, including the adoption and sharing of best practice
Ensure a high quality of service is provided, that activities are completed to the highest professional and integrity standards and in accordance with our client’s contracting procedures/processes and business controls, whilst ensuring all decisions/commitments are recorded in an auditable manner
In conjunction with department manager’s company representatives, monitor the performance of contractors and suppliers, developing highly positive and constructive relationships with key contacts, internally and externally and hold regular feedback meetings with these stakeholders

Degree qualified or equivalent
Relevant experience in a contracting environment within the oil and gas industry
Solid understanding of the oil and gas industry supply chain market and it’s contracting principles and practices
Full understanding of current UK/EU procurement legislation and the compliance requirements in terms of Supply Chain
High level of Commercial awareness and fully developed analytical skills in terms of contractual costs
Comprehensive understanding of contractual risk allocation
Highly developed facilitation and negotiation skills
Extensive experience in post award contract management
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to perform effectively under pressure
Assertiveness/Ability to articulate clearly
Numerate, analytical and logical
Good organisational skills
